The founder and MD of a Bristol-based PR agency has reached the finals of the UK Top Business Adviser Awards.
Catherine Frankpitt, pictured, of Strike Communications was selected out of hundreds of leaders from across the UK and Ireland for her hard work and dedication to growing the business while it supports other purpose-led organisations to tell their stories and deliver maximum impact.
The awards, organised by small business support platform Enterprise Nation, celebrate the country’s hard-working advisers – with the winners decided by a public vote.
Catherine, a chartered PR practitioner with more than 20 years’ experience, launched Strike communications in 2020 to support organisations doing positive and worthwhile work.
It has since grown to a core team of five, supported by a number of hand-picked experts, and worked with universities, art and cultural organisations, and charities and CICs spanning everything from adult social care to youth support and nature to impact investment.
Catherine, one of five finalists in the PR and Content category, said: “I’m hugely grateful to be shortlisted for this award, but it is very much a team effort. So this is recognition of the hard work of our small but brilliantly dedicated team.
“Through a mix of strategic thinking and creative storytelling, communications can truly amplify an organisation’s profile and good work.
“Strike was set up nearly five years ago to do exactly that for charities and purpose-led organisations in Bristol and across the UK.
“There are many organisations doing brilliant work, but sometimes they aren’t telling their success stories in the way they should be.
“Building credibility and engaging target audiences can really to help organisations to continue to deliver and thrive.
“We’re so lucky to do the work we do, supporting a fantastic array of clients. It would be the icing on the cake to win this award.”
Catherine also recently featured on a Made for Impact podcast episode, sharing her tips and expertise on what charities and social enterprises can do to communicate effectively.
The UK Top Business Adviser Awards, which take place in London on 5 December, are run in association with Constant Contact, a global digital marketing platform that helps small businesses to grow.
