ESI, the UK’s leading independent scientific environmental consultancy, has opened an office in Bristol as demand for its services continues to grow.
The Shrewsbury-headquartered firm, which also has bases in Reading and Cardiff, provides a range of geo-environmental services to the private and public sectors.
The opening of the Bristol office at Temple Quay follows a period of significant growth for ESI and is part of its ongoing investment and expansion plans to strengthen its services.
ESI’s specialist consulting division has grown rapidly in the past 12 months on the back of sustained demand for environmental risk information and services particularly involving groundwater, geo-environmental and sustainable development issues
CEO Stuart Pearce, pictured, said the Temple Quay office put ESI in the heart of the Bristol’s rapidly growing enterprise zone while also aligning the firm with Bristol’s sustainable credentials and its year as European Green Capital.
“The location also provides an accessible location for the benefit of our clients in the south of England, with good transport links and conveniently situated along the M4,” he said.
“The move represents a new phase of growth for us, particularly within our key markets of water, property, minerals and compliance, and the increase in demand for environmental information.
“In addition, the move paves the way for expanding our dedicated team and enables us to recruit more highly skilled specialists and technicians to continue to help drive the business forward.
“As an organisation that specialises in the environment and sustainability, the fact Bristol is European Green Capital 2015 is really exciting for us, and it couldn’t be a better place for us to continue to grow our organisation and ensure we maintain and uphold the city’s green vision for the future.”
