Bristol-headquartered law firms Osborne Clarke and Burges Salmon are in the running for some of the industry’s top awards in what has been described as “unquestionably the biggest night of the year for the legal profession”.
The firms have been shortlisted in The Lawyer Awards, viewed as the most-respected in the industry – including in Osborne Clarke’s case the coveted top award of Law Firm of the Year.
Osborne Clarke lines up against six other firms in the Regulatory Team of the Year category, including DWF and Simmons & Simmons, which both have offices in Bristol, and is one of eight challengers for the Corporate Team of the Year title.
Burges Salmon competes in the Employment Team of the Year where is up against national firm CMS, which has an office in Bristol, while CMS, Simmons & Simmons and Osborne Clarke are shortlisted for the Funds Team of the Year award.
Now in their 21st year, the awards celebrate excellence across private practice, the public sector, commerce and industry and the Bar.
The winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony held on Tuesday June 23 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
