Bristol property industry professionals will get the chance next week to learn more about the idea behind the UK’s first inland surfing destination planned for the outskirts of Bristol.

Nick Hounsfield, co-founder/director of The Wave UK, will share the vision with Bristol Curry Club members on Thursday at its second meeting.

The highly-innovative project aims to develop a surfing lake within a beautiful green multi-activity landscape, creating an education and leisure centre for all ages and backgrounds.

Bristol-based Nick worked in healthcare for 18 years. His passion for surfing and public health led to the creation of The Wave UK and he has already won a local entrepreneur award for his vision. The project hopes to open end of 2014.

Bristol Curry Club has a focus on the property, construction and finance sectors. Members benefit from networking in a relaxed environment while enjoying exceptional Indian cuisine. No membership is required to attend events; to attend visit the website.

Thursday’s meeting is at 4500 miles from Delhi, 8-10 Colston Avenue, Bristol between 12noon and 2pm.
