The Bristol office of accountancy, investment management and tax group Smith & Williamson recently sponsored the re-opening of the newly-refurbished European Old Masters Gallery at the city’s Museum and Art Gallery.
More than 350 guests, including many clients and contacts of the firm, attended the event and also got a chance to see Rembrandt’s ‘Self Portrait at the Age of 63’, which is on loan from the National Gallery, in a private viewing.
Speaking at the event were Bristol City Council head of culture Laura Pye, National Gallery director Gabriele Finaldi, and Dr Jenny Gaschke, curator of fine art at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery.
