Experienced commercial property lawyer Amanda French has joined the Bristol office of national law firm Clarke Willmott as a partner.
Amanda, pictured, specialises in portfolio management and store development programmes for multi-national retail businesses.
Prior to joining Clarke Willmott, Amanda was an associate director at Davitt Jones Bould, one of the largest specialist real estate firms in the UK.
She has also served as head of property legal for retail firms River Island and Farrow & Ball, where she provided commercial strategic advice on global property portfolio issues and transactions, while reducing risk, providing business cost savings and managing internal and external legal teams.
She completed her legal training at Bond Pearce (now Womble Bond Dickinson), going on to become a senior associate at the firm specialising in retail real estate.
Amanda said: “Throughout my career I have focused on retailers and corporate occupiers. The opportunity to work with exciting high street brands and join one of the best national full-service real estate practices was too good to pass up.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise my experiences during a novel career path and collaborate with the outstanding Real Estate and Retail teams at Clarke Willmott. All while working with an enviable list of retail clients.”
Clarke Willmott commercial property division managing director Peter Swinburn added: “Amanda is acclaimed for her ability and expertise as well as having a wealth of experience in house at multinational retailers and we have been looking to add someone with her skills to our team.
“We are delighted she has agreed to join us and she will be greatly beneficial to our busy team as well as our retail clients.”
Clarke Willmott also has offices in Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton.
