Fast-growing Bristol recruitment agency Opus Recruitment Solutions has been named as one of the UK’s best small employers.
The firm, founded in 2008 and which has since opened offices in London and Sydney, Australia, appears in the latest Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For list.
Opus, which appears in the list for the first time, has received a three-star accreditation – the highest awarded by the judges. It will find out exactly where on the list it will appear at an awards ceremony on February 25.
The firm employs around 50 staff at its head office in Bristol’s Castlemead tower and a further 40 across its other offices.
Opus, which plans further expansion this year, says it gained recognition in the list by offering incentives and benefits to sales consultants and non-sales teams usually found in much larger companies.
Founder and CEO Darren Ryemill, pictured with former Lord Mayor of Bristol Faruk Choudhury, said: “We take great pride in providing an enjoyable and rewarding environment for all of our employees. We feel that in order to grow a strong business, you must start from the bottom by ensuring job satisfaction across the company.
“There isn’t a single person that doesn’t get recognised for a job well done at Opus. Of course we have a variety of exciting incentives on offer to our recruitment consultants, but we also recognise the importance of other roles such as the admin and business development teams with a variety of other rewards.
“To be acknowledged by a nationally-recognised achievement makes us feel very proud and we will continue to strive for excellence in both the work we do and the environment we do it in.”
The Best Companies survey is conducted on a yearly basis. Entrants are awarded one, two and three-star accreditation ratings.
Opus featured in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track list, which ranks the UK’s 100 fastest-growing businesses, in 2012 and 2013.
