More than 80 staff in national accountancy and business advisory firm BDO’s Bristol office have been promoted, including one to partner.

The firm said the 82 individuals had each shown talent and hard work and richly deserved recognition.

They are among around 2,400 BDO staff, including 36 new partners, who have been promoted across its 18 UK offices.

In total the firm employs around 8,000 people, offering tax, audit, assurance and advisory services.

The Bristol office’s new business services and outsourcing partner, Chris Carle, has more than 20 years’ accounting and audit experience, providing specialist assurance services to the property management industry.

He has been integral in helping to shape the industry, influencing regulation and the role of independent accountants.

Chris, pictured, is also technical lead and the strategic leader for BDO’s digital agenda, including its industry-leading software.

BDO South West managing partner David Brookes said: “Chris has demonstrated nothing short of excellence in his work in our business services and outsourcing team.

“His promotion not only reflects his passion for driving up standards by combining cutting-edge technology and expertise, but our confidence in his ability to lead and drive growth for the South West region.

“This latest round of promotions reinforces our commitment to investing in our people, whose expertise and dedication are key to our long-term success. Congratulations to all 82 of our new promotes.”
