The payroll team at Bishop Fleming, the regional accountancy firm with its largest office in Bristol, has been shortlisted for two prestigious national awards.
The team, which delivers payroll, accounting, tax, advisory services to businesses, charities, academies and individuals, is in the running to win the accolades from The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals.
The team services more than 900 public and private sector organisations throughout the UK.
The much sought-after awards are the longest running in the payroll industry. Bishop Fleming has been shortlisted in the ‘Payroll Provider of The Year’ and ‘Well-being and Employee Engagement’ categories.
The Payroll Provider of the Year award recognises firms that provide the highest quality of service to clients and have in place a rigorous training and development programme for payroll staff.
The Well-being and Employee Engagement award recognises payroll departments that have introduced initiatives designed to improve the general health, wellbeing and financial awareness of their employees.
In January Bishop Fleming’s payroll team earned the highest possible mark for its payroll team in the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals’ national assessment scheme for the second successive time.
The team provides a fully managed payroll and workplace pension administration service, keeping clients up to date with all relevant regulatory changes.
Bishop Fleming, which celebrates its centenary year, has implemented a wellbeing strategy aimed at improving its working environments across its seven offices and investing in its employees’ health and wellbeing.
Payroll partner Will Hanbury said: “I am absolutely delighted for the team that we have been shortlisted for not one but two prestigious awards as it clearly demonstrates how we add significant extra value to our clients in managing their payroll administration, as well as ensuring our staff’s wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.
“The shortlisting is based on the judges’ view of how we have delivered innovation, a return on our clients’ investment, the quality of our service, and the positive impact the wellbeing initiatives have had on our staff.”
The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals Annual Excellence Awards will be announced at a black-tie event on October 3 at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport.
Bishop Fleming, whose offices are spread across the South West and Midlands, is ranked 30th in the UK’s national league table of accountancy firms and also listed in The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For in 2019.
