South West accountancy, tax and business advisory firm Milsted Langdon has appointed James Barrell as an audit director in its Bristol office.
James, pictured, has nearly 20 years’ experience in senior management positions in national accountancy groups. 
He joins Milsted Langdon from Evelyn Partners in Bristol, where he spent nearly five years as an associate director in its assurance and business services team.
He has also worked in the Bristol offices of RSM and Grant Thornton.
Milsted Langdon said James’ arrival brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to its audit team, strengthening its capabilities while also continuing its tradition of excellence in client service.
It described James as a highly experienced audit specialist with a proven track record in audit, accounting and financial reporting, which he hoped to combine with the expertise already available in the firm’s Bristol office.
As well as specialising in overseeing the delivery of audits for owner-managed businesses, he can draw on his extensive experience working with a wide range of clients, including AIM-listed companies, multinational groups, professional practice partnerships and charities.

Milsted Langdon, which also has offices in Bath, London, Taunton and Yeovil, employs around 200 people offering a wide range of business services.
