Bristol communications agency Purplefish is hosting an open afternoon for young people interested in pursuing a career in communications, marketing and public relations.
The consultancy is looking for talented, energetic and enthusiastic people for its 2017 internships scheme, which is open to both undergraduates and graduates.
The event on January 18 will provide an opportunity for aspiring creatives to introduce themselves to the Purplefish team in person and talk about their career aspirations with the internships scheme in mind.
Attendees are asked to bring along their CVs to be kept for consideration after the event, which will be held at Purplefish’s quirky workspace on a Dutch barge in Bristol harbour.
Managing director Joanna Randall said Purplefish was passionate about bringing new talent into the creative sector and the internships programme was a great way for them to get a foot in the door.
The company has recently launched a new proposition and agency identity designed to support businesses operating in the creative sector.
“Our proposition moves away from the traditional tactics associated with public relations,” added Joanna.
“The communications industry has evolved and businesses which don’t use communications to stand out from their competitors, to attract, recruit and retain the best talent, and drive new business growth will struggle to generate a competitive advantage.”
