Bristol-based defence consultancy and technology firm Techmodal has secured another three-year contract with the Army to deliver ongoing support and enhancements to its VERITAS product.

VERITAS is an innovative planning and forecasting product created by Techmodal for the Army. It is used by the Support Directorate in Army HQ and its procurement and support organisation to optimises stock, ammunition and commodities, identifies cost savings and delivers best value for money.

Techmodal has worked with Army HQ for the past three years. The firm said the new win further demonstrated the Army’s faith in its expertise and ability to deliver.

Army HQ business improvement team lead Mark Jenkins said: “Techmodal have been an asset to Army HQ over the last few years. VERITAS is an incredibly powerful tool and has significant potential to improve both our inventory and fleet management.

“We’re very happy to be working with Techmodal again and look forward to what the next few years will bring.”

Techmodal offers a selection of consulting, cost modelling, analysis and software development capabilities. Founded in 2005, it specialises in the defence sector having worked with all UK Front Line Commands and DE&S over the past 17 years.

VERITAS, an Oracle-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, was developed by Techmodal to support the MoD’s business processes. It enables the MoD to make more informed decisions, leading to large cost savings in areas such as forecasting, modelling, inventory, repair and ammunition, financial, fleet and performance management.
