Property agency Savills has taken on Chris Barako as a director in the development team based in its Bristol office.
The appointment marks Chris’s return to the team, which he originally joined in 2010.
Having spent more than seven years with Savills, during which time he was promoted to an associate director, he left to work client-side – first with Rengen Developments, a Bath-based subsidiary of Bristol group Iesis and the firm behind the final phase of the city’s Paintworks scheme, and then as head of land for leading retirement developer Churchill Living.
Chris, pictured, said: “I am delighted to return to Savills. The development team here in Bristol is market-leading in every aspect and involved in some of the most significant developments in and around the city.
“Moreover, the working environment is second to none, and being a collegiate, cross-disciplinary business allows us to amplify our expertise to provide a best-in-class service to our clients.”
Head of the Savills’ Bristol development team Ben Taylor added: “It is a great pleasure to welcome Chris back into the fold.
“His strong knowledge of the Bristol market, coupled with the breadth of development expertise he brings to the table, makes him an excellent fit within our busy and successful team.”
Chris’ focus will be on both immediate and greenfield and strategic land development across Bristol, Somerset and Wiltshire.
