Global real estate services firm JLL has made two key appointments to its South West project management and cost management teams.

Henry Blunden has re-joined JLL as director of cost management, while Helen James takes on the role of associate in the Bristol project management team.

Henry, pictured, who has more than 20 years of industry experience, worked with the London cost management team at JLL (then Jones Lang LaSalle) from 2010 to 2015, before moving on to commercial manager and associate posts at Willmott Dixon EcoWorld London, Kier Group and Rider Levett Bucknall.

Now back at JLL, Henry will be based across its Bristol and Exeter offices, focusing on strengthening the firm’s regional cost management function in the South West.

With valuable contractor and developer experience, he will also provide comprehensive services including budgeting, cost estimations, feasibility advice, procurement reports, contract advice and tendering preparation.

JLL said his expertise would be crucial in driving regional growth and further developing and broadening client relationships.

Meanwhile, Helen, pictured, brings 18 years’ industry experience to her new role. She has spent the last seven years as a project manager, with roles at Gleeds and positions at engineering firms such as Hydrock and Aecom.

She will further develop JLL’s project management team, including bringing specialist higher education expertise having impressive client experience with the University of Exeter, Bath Spa University and UWE Bristol as well as with Change Real Estate, Muse Developments, the NHS and DWP.

JLL South project & cost management team head Barnaby Dodwell said Henry and Helen’s combined experience of nearly four decades in the industry would significantly enhance the firm’s capabilities in the region.

“Henry’s return to JLL and his extensive cost management expertise will be instrumental in growing our regional offerings,” he added.

“Helen’s background in structural engineering and project management, particularly in the higher education sector, aligns well with our strategic focus areas.

“These appointments reflect our commitment to providing top-tier services to our clients and strengthening our position in the market.”

JLL has 31 UK offices, including in Bristol, Exeter and Cardiff.
