Each week Bristol Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week R&D tax consultancy Grantica managing director Shaun Bartle answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST

Film you watched? The Founder. A great film about the origins of the McDonald’s burger empire that has lots of valuable business and life lessons within the story.

Book you read? Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss. An absolute must-read for anyone looking to improve their negotiation skills.

Music you bought/downloaded? Eminem’s latest album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).

Concert or play you went to? The Lion King at the Bristol Hippodrome with my family. A great experience.

Sporting event you attended? Our local football team, Weston-super-Mare FC against Weymouth. It wasn’t the result we wanted!

Restaurant you ate in? The steakhouse restaurant Miller & Carter in Bristol. I do love a steak!

Holiday you went on? Marbella with the family. It’s our favourite place.

Thing that annoyed you? Traffic – I have no patience for it.

Thing that made you laugh out loud? My young son. He is hilarious and has the whole family in stitches.

Piece of good advice you were given? Proximity is power, so be aware of who you let influence you.
