National law firm Irwin Mitchell has introduced a new regional lead partner (RLP) role in its Bristol office aimed at driving growth in the South West and enhancing collaboration across its teams to help more clients.
Family partner Erin Sawyer, pictured, who is serving a fixed three-year term in the role, will focus on expanding Irwin Mitchell’s presence in the region as well as Wales. 
She will work closely with the full-service firm’s client-facing teams, business development and marketing experts to maximise regional opportunities as well as client sharing and ensuring Irwin Mitchell has a positive impact as a responsible business in its local communities.
Irwin Mitchell has focused on regional expansion in recent years, opening offices in Brighton, Cardiff, Liverpool and, most recently, Nottingham. The firm also passed £300m revenue for the first time this year.

Erin joined Irwin Mitchell in 2017 and was made partner in 2021.
She has also worked for Lodders Solicitors in Cheltenham, where she spent two years as an associate, and as an associate at Harrison Clark Rickerbys, also in Cheltenham.
A specialist in a wide range of family law areas including high net worth and complex financial divorce matters and cohabitation issues, Erin was one of two co-presidents of Bristol Law Society in 2021 – the first time the top role at organisation had been operated as a job share in its the 251-year history.
