VWV, the Bristol-headquartered national law firm, has completed the largest round of promotions in its history with the promotion of 47 individuals across various roles.
The firm, which also has offices in London, Watford and Birmingham, said the appointments reflected its continued success as well as its ‘exceptional talent’. 
The promotions include two new partners in VWV’s commercial property team – Sarah Outram, who has been at the firm for more than 17 years, and Gemma Pouncy, who joined just under 10 years ago.
Gemma said: “Ever since I joined VWV, I have been given fantastic opportunities to work with great clients, on interesting transactions and it soon became clear that I could grow my career here. I am excited for the chance to play a greater role in the firm’s future.”
Sarah, who joined VWV as a paralegal in 2006, added: “I am very proud to now be a partner. I am passionate about inspiring the next generation of lawyers and using my expertise to best serve our clients.” 
A further 10 lawyers have been promoted to the role of legal director, including five in the commercial property team, two in the employment team and one in each of the corporate, estates tax planning and trusts, and property litigation teams.
The firm has also promoted nine individuals to senior associate, 18 to associate and three to senior paralegal roles in departments across the firm.

VWV, which can trace its history back to the early 19th century, has 90 partners and employs 500-plus staff.
