Specialist precision engineering group Renishaw has appointed accountant Carol Chesney as a non-executive director. Carol takes over as chair of the Wotton-under-Edge firm’s audit committee on October 19 from Terry Garthwaite who, along with David Snowden, will step down from the board at the company’s AGM the previous day.
Carol, pictured, who trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen, will also sit on Renishaw’s remuneration and nomination committees. She joins from FTSE 250 quoted safety, health and environmental products group Hamla, where she has been company secretary since 1998.
Renishaw non-executive director David Grant becomes chair of the remuneration committee with effect from October 19.
