Thrings welcomes ‘outstanding’ newly qualified solicitors onto its thriving corporate team

Law firm Thrings has continued to grow its award-winning corporate offering with the appointment of newly qualified solicitor Bethan Shepherd to its Bristol office.

Bethan, pictured, left, joins the firm on a permanent basis along with Shana McBean, pictured, right, who has also just qualified and will be based in its Swindon office. 

Having successfully completed their trainee contracts with Thrings, both and have become the newest members of its corporate team.

Since joining the firm last year, Bethan and Shana have trained across a range of areas to enhance their knowledge of the law, completing six-month seats in corporate, private client, property litigation, insolvency and family between them.

In their new roles, they will continue to advise companies and individuals across a range of sectors on a wide variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, reorganisations and general corporate governance for clients.

Thrings head of banking and finance and partner in the corporate team based in Bristol, Mike Tomlin, said: “Having Beth rejoin the team after completing her other seats is fantastic news and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

“She continues to deepen her knowledge of corporate law and has built up an excellent rapport with clients and we are excited to see her continue this growth as a fully qualified lawyer.”

Thrings managing partner Simon Holdsworth added: “Shana and Beth have been outstanding during their traineeship and I’m delighted that, now they’re qualified, they will be continuing with us.

“It’s pleasing to know that the juniors we have worked hard to develop have enjoyed their experience and want to stay as they continue to reach their potential.”

The corporate law team at Thrings, which also has offices in Bath, London, Romsey, Ross-on-Wye, Marlborough and Lydney, advises business owners from start-ups to multinationals on all stages of the business life cycle, helping them reach their commercial goals.
