South West accountancy firm Albert Goodman is looking to maintain its rapid growth with the appointment of its first business development and marketing manager.
Neil Wyatt joins in the newly created role, bringing with him more than 15 years’ professional services experience.
Neil, pictured, spent more than six years at Taunton-based mortgage broker Cooper Associates and nine years at Somerton-headquartered insurance services firm Higos.
He will now work closely with Albert Goodman financial planning partner Reme Holland and marketing director Robin Clempson, dividing his time between two key areas for the business – supporting its expanding financial planning team by leveraging his marketing expertise and business development, with an emphasis on fostering regional growth.
His arrival comes following a year in which Albert Goodman made 41 new appointments, including 32 trainees, grew its revenue by 17% to £21.4m, and relocated its Bristol base from a small hub in Westbury-on-Trym to a 3,000 sq ft office on King Street in the city centre.
It also secured a coveted B Corp accreditation in recognition of its pursuit of purpose as well as profit.
Neil said: “The firm’s trajectory over the last few years has been incredible, so it’s very exciting to be coming on board.
“I’m relishing the opportunity to get stuck in and look forward to further contributing to Albert Goodman’s momentum in the months and years ahead.”
Managing partner Iain McVicar added: “We’re incredibly happy to welcome Neil to Albert Goodman. He has an impressive track record and his connections across the region are excellent.
“As an addition to the financial planning division and the firm as a whole, I’m confident Neil’s impact will be a hugely positive one.”
The 158-year-old, Taunton-headquartered firm, which also has offices in Yeovil, Weymouth and Weston-super-Mare, works across a range of specialisms spanning audit & accounts and business support services to litigation support, payroll bureau and VAT services.
