Bristol-based specialist PR agency Meeting Place has updated its senior structure to capitalise on growth opportunities.

The move follows on from an increase in staffing from 29 in 2021 to 48, with its annual turnover doubling over the same period.

Established in 2006, the agency works with clients across the built environment on new developments through planning communications, public relations and social impact.

Its client roster ranges from Homes England and Places for People to Aldi, MEPC and Legal & General.

Since the pandemic, Meeting Place has launched a dedicated PR and social impact consultancy for clients and expanded its design and digital offering.

Its like-for-like revenues increased by18% over the past financial year, supported by several new client wins and an expanding team.

The management changes include former MD Nikki Davies moving to the CEO role and George Beard, who was previously deputy MD, becoming COO, while ex-East of England former director Joel Fayers is now head of planning communications.

CEO Nikki Davies said: “With our revenue and headcount growth, we’re excited the structural changes we’re making can build on our success to date and capitalise on future opportunities.

“Whether in innovation, renewables, housing or infrastructure, clients are making positive noises about sector confidence post-election.

“With greater certainty, investment and planning reform expected early in the new Parliament, we believe a boost in confidence will allow us to push further into other regions and realise our ambitious growth plans.”

Meeting Place was ranked 121st (up from 128th last year) in PRWeek UK’s Top 150 – the barometer of the country’s biggest agencies published in May. It was also in the Top 20 for the fastest headcount growth as a percentage of revenue (£3m-plus).
