Five new directors have been appointed to the board of Bristol Creative Industries, the membership organisation that supports the city’s creative businesses and individuals.
Bristol Creative Industries (BCI) said Adam Millbank, Tom Harber, Tom Bowden-Green, David Darke and Kate Sikora would bring additional strength and depth to its board, hugely benefitting its members as well as the wider creative sector across the region.
The five’s skills and experience ranges from digital marketing, film production and CRM (customer relations management) to data analysis, website marketing and creative industry education.
BCI, which rebranded from its previous name of Bristol Media in 2020, said its top priority this year was to drive value for its members by creating opportunities for them to learn, connect and grow their businesses.
The five new board appointees, who join its six existing members, will contribute directly to this by:
- helping to develop the organisation’s extensive events programme to upskill and inspire members.
- develop and support new partnerships between BCI and other organisations.
- grow engagement with the region’s film and TV sector.
BCI’s Talent Programme, which supports the next generation of diverse talent in the creative industries, is currently open for sponsorship opportunities.
The appointment of the five new board directors follows Ambitious PR co-founder Lis Anderson and Innovate UK South West scale-up director Heather Wright becoming BCI co-chairs.
Heather said: “We are delighted to welcome these uniquely talented, inspirational and hardworking industry leaders who have stepped up for BCI and for our sector.
“They will strengthen our team and make it possible for us to achieve our ambitions for members.”
