The social, environmental and economic risks posed by water scarcity will go under the spotlight at Bristol-based green investment firm Greenbank’s latest annual investor day later this month.

Titled ‘Water Under Pressure’, the online event on 24 April will focus on risks and opportunities in a water-scarce future and the potential for companies and investors to offer solutions to these challenges.

Up for discussion by a panel of experts will be how technology and innovation can help, how companies are responding by managing their own freshwater impacts, and how investors can engage with companies on water use and management.

Confirmed speakers so far are:

  • Kate Elliot, head of ESI Research, Greenbank
  • Kai Johns, senior ESI Researcher, Greenbank
  • Claire Elsdon, director of Capital Markets, CDP
  • Jason Shingleton, group material science director, Genuit
  • Martin Gisbourne, chief strategy and sustainability officer, Genuit

The event will last from 10.30am to 1.30pm and will be introduced by John David, head of Greenbank, and Clive Bannister, chair of its parent group Rathbones.

It will be the 27th annual investor day staged by Greenbank, formerly Rathbone Greenbank.
