A multi-department team from the Bristol office of international law firm Osborne Clarke has advised the shareholders of a specialist camera manufacturer on its acquisition by American electronics giant Motorola.
Silent Sentinel makes short-to-long range thermal cameras, high-definition and 4K visible cameras and ultra-low light cameras, pictured, for use in extreme environments.
Its advanced market-leading security systems are predominantly targeted at the homeland security market and are used in military, aviation, maritime and critical infrastructure.
he Hertfordshire-based firm’s acquisition by Motorola is a further addition to the US group’s security camera portfolio and strengthens its position as a global leader in security technology.
The Osborne Clarke team advising on the deal was led by corporate partner Damocles Merry and senior associate Hannah Maidment, assisted by trainee solicitor Elaina Clarke.
National security and Investment Act advice was provided by partner Marc Shrimpling and senior associate Lucy Elliot while partner Olivia Sinfield and associate Ahlaam Said provided employment support.
The team also included partner Anika Chandra, who led on incentives and was supported by associate Will Cashman, with partner Tracey Wright and senior associate Bridget Baillie providing corporate tax advice.
