International executive search company Dangerfield Executive has bought the freehold of an office building at Emersons Green, near Bristol, to use as its new headquarters – a sign, say property agents, of market recovery.
Brook House is a 3,307 sq ft (307.2 sq m) self-contained two storey building at Brook Office Park. Dangerfield Executive, which was founded in Bristol in 2005, paid Bourne Construction Engineering Ltd £520,000 in a deal negotiated by property agents Alder King and Burston Cook.
Cat Collis, associate at Alder King, which represented Bourne, said: “This sale is an encouraging sign that the market is showing signs of recovery. Freehold activity has been limited to the industrial sector in recent years but we are now seeing demand from owner occupiers in the offices market.”
Graham Jackson of Dangerfield said: “We have enjoyed significant growth, doubling in size year on year since we began in 2005. Relocating to larger premises at Emersons Green will give us a strong platform to support future growth. It is also close to our current office which will minimise disruption for our staff.” The firm also has offices in Australia, Canada, Chile, South Africa and the US.
Burston Cook director Jayne Rixon added: “We are delighted to have found such good quality accommodation for our client in a location that meets all its requirements.”
