The Bristol tech entrepreneurs on a mission to revolutionise the community pharmacy sector with their pioneering software have released their latest ground-breaking product.
Invatech Health has spent two years and more than £1m of private investment creating Titanverse – a pharmacy management system which builds on the runaway success of their first flagship product.
That cloud-based system, called Titan PMR (patient management record), manages end-to-end pharmacy workflow and was the first of its type to receive industry accreditation from the NHS in more than a decade.
Since then, it has rapidly grown among the independent and online pharmacy sectors and now processes almost 7% of all UK medicine prescriptions – more than 4m a month – a number expected to double in the next year.
The new Titanverse platform enables pharmacy chain owners to digitally transfer workloads between separate pharmacies, communicate directly with patients, carry out consultations, manage appointments and promote specialist clinical services.
Tariq Muhammad, a former community pharmacist and CEO of Titan PMR, said his mission was to give pharmacists the ability to independently grow and evolve their businesses to administer a wider range of clinical services, providing the paying public with a viable alternative to relying on the NHS.

“What we’ve created here is genuinely game-changing, a creative solution to the problems our sector faces.
“We’re using modern technology and applying it in a real-world context to help get the most out of pharmacists, who are an under-appreciated and overlooked resource.
“In the process we’re giving pharmacists the ability to grow independently of the shackles of the NHS.”
He said his vision was that, one day, pharmacies could become genuine community health hubs – not just dispensing but also diagnosing and prescribing solutions for a range of health problems.
“That can only be good news for patients, pharmacists and for the wider NHS,” Tariq added.
“Titanverse is going to introduce similarly ground-breaking workflow efficiencies as Titan PMR did.
“It’s just going to be on a wider range of aspects of running a pharmacy business and delivering clinical services.
“Now we’ve got pharmacists out of the dispensary we need to give them a platform to embrace those new roles and carve out that professional, independent model of pharmacy for the future.
“At the moment 90% of the average pharmacist’s work comes via the NHS. We can create a parallel medical service that sits in the community, paid for by people who want to pay for it. That’s the vision that I’m trying to provide.”
Titanverse will be revealed in full to delegates at this year’s Pharmacy Show, held at the NEC in Birmingham this Sunday and Monday.
The system has been developed by the team at Invatech Health – parent company of Titan PMR – based in offices in Eastville, Bristol.
Heading the technical elements of the development has been Tariq’s brother and Titan PMR CEO Wahid.
Speaking at a soft launch of the system to Titan PMR customers last week, he said: “Titanverse is going to offer pharmacists a one-stop shop to support their business from top to bottom.
“It starts with a web-based map with the pharmacy in the middle – from there, users can manage clinical elements, operations, finance and team efficiency.
“We have also built in KPIs for each one with a traffic light system to alert pharmacists if their attention is urgently needed.
“This system is going to empower pharmacy owners to have their businesses in the palm of their hands, giving them authority and autonomy and freeing them up to grow and better serve the communities in which they operate.
“We’re delighted with Titanverse and are looking forward to seeing it rolled out.”
