South West property consultancy Alder King has made two senior promotions and two new appointments in its Bristol office.
Tom Dugay, one of the city’s leading office agents, is now a partner in Alder King’s agency team. while James Mackay has been promoted to the newly created role of head of valuation and viability.
The new arrivals are Hannah Eshelby, who has joined the as a partner, and Sam Carson, who takes up an associate role in the residential development team.
Tom has nearly 20 years’ experience in the office market in and around Bristol and has acted for many national and regional clients, including Legal & General UK Property Fund, St Monica Trust and BAE Systems.
A committee member of the Bristol Property Agents Association (BPAA), Tom is a high-profile figure in local commercial property circles
James joined Alder King as a graduate in 1999 and became a partner in 2013. He has been responsible for the delivery of valuation services in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire since 2010.
In addition to his valuation expertise, James has over the past 13 years developed Alder King’s development viability service, acting for private developers across the UK, including as an expert witness at planning appeals.
Alder King said his promotion, which means he will now take responsibility for all valuation and viability work across the firm, recognised the success he had made of these dual roles.
Hannah, who has joined Alder King after eight years with JLL, will provide senior level resource to the residential development team, utilising her previous experience working for plc housebuilders, SME developers and housing associations in addition to her experience in the build to rent, co-living and student markets.
She also has extensive development viability experience, further extending the range of services offered to the team’s landowner and developer clients.
A UWE graduate, Sam will focus on development viability, working closely with James Mackay. He brings valuable viability and valuation experience from his previous role at London-based Turner Morum.
