Bristol specialist software firm Deazy has appointed Laura Wall as its new head of marketing as it looks to continue an expansion trajectory that led to a staggering 2,615% hike in revenue over four years.

Laural, pictured, has worked for organisations in New York, Los Angeles and London. She joins from London-based global software consultancy Codurance, where she held the role of global head of marketing and targeted CTOs and heads of engineering to help navigate cloud migration journeys.

She has a wealth of tech and digital experience, having also held senior marketing positions at ClickZ and Econsultancy.

At Deazy, which was launched in 2016 with a mission to make development easy, she will be responsible for helping to drive growth across the business, particularly with the enterprise sector.

“Deazy felt like a great fit immediately,” she said. “I love being part of a team that’s united in its goal and in which everyone contributes by using their skills and expertise to help the team win.

“There’s a great market opportunity for Deazy. There has been a dev talent crisis for many years now, and the causes of this will not be addressed any time soon.”

She said tech leaders needed to re-assess how they have been looking for talent and explore alternative ways of accessing talent.

“Deazy helps those leaders plug any gaps in their organisations, removing the burden and headache of finding and managing external tech talent,” she added.

As a developer marketplace platform, Deazy connects enterprises, scale-ups and agencies with high-quality teams of 4,000-plus developers, handpicked to provide broad technical expertise and greater capacity and flexibility.

Its clients include motoring organisation the RAC and aggregates group Hanson.

Last year it received a £5m investment from Puma Private Equity to scale its commercial teams to accelerate growth and further build out its development teams.

Its rapid growth was recognised by its inclusion in accountancy group Deloitte UK’s annual Technology Fast 50 report, which placed it 13th in a major new national growth league table and third in the South West.

Deazy CEO Andy Peddar said: “It’s a challenging time for enterprises, which are required to do more and more with technology and to do so without the required levels of budget and resources.

“Laura is the perfect person to communicate how Deazy can help enterprises address those challenges. Her experience and know-how as a tech marketer make her the ideal hire for Deazy as we look to continue our growth and achieve our goal of becoming Europe’s most trusted developer marketplace by 2025.”
