Commercial property lawyer Mark Forsey has joined national firm Ashfords’ real estate team as it expands its investment and asset management practice.

Mark, pictured, arrives as a senior associate from Stephens Scown in Exeter, where he spent 12 years in a number of roles.

He has a wealth of experience working with clients including commercial investors, financial institutions and property investment companies across a range of transactions including acquisitions and disposals, property management and secured lending.

Ashfords, which has offices in Bristol, London, Taunton and Plymouth, said his experience made him a natural fit for the firm as it looks to strengthen its growing investment and asset management practice. Mark will focus on providing senior expertise and support to both private and public sector clients.

Mark said: “I am delighted to have joined the highly regarded real estate team at Ashfords. The firm’s focus on delivering exceptional client service aligns with my values and I am looking forward to working with the impressive range of clients the firm represents.”

Ashfords head of real estate Kate Topp added: “We’re really pleased to welcome Mark into the real estate team to further bolster our investment offer.

“He will give us additional support at senior level, which will help us deliver for our clients and achieve our ambitious growth targets.”

Ashfords’ real estate team, which is known for its largescale property development, urban regeneration, self-invested pension schemes and real estate investment, has been recognised in The Times Best Law Firms 2023.
