Accountancy and business advisory firm Deloitte has promoted five Bristol-based staff to become directors in its audit, corporate finance, consulting and enterprise risk services teams.
David Clements, born and educated in Bristol, joined Deloitte in 2008 and has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services sector. A leading conduct risk expert, David leads the South West risk and regulation practice, focusing on the financial services market. In his new role, David’s focus is to continue building the team’s profile in the region and help clients navigate the pace of regulatory change as the industry moves towards a focused conduct regulator.
Tim Horton joined Deloitte’s Bristol office as a graduate in 2000. After four years with the firm’s audit team, he moved to work within the enterprise risk services team providing business process, control transformation, internal audit and risk management services to a wide range of corporate and public sector clients across the region. He now leads a team of 15 which has expanded to provide additional services such as IT risk offerings, data analytics and security and resilience. As a director Tim will continue to manage Deloitte’s larger corporate client relationships across the financial services and energy and resources sectors.
A Bristol University law graduate, Duncan Down has been with the Deloitte transaction services team for the past five years. He has extensive mid-market experience, working across all sectors and deal types for both corporate and private equity houses. In his new role, Duncan’s focus will be on strengthening relationships with private equity house teams active in the region, and supporting merger and acquisition activity within the region’s corporate community.
Phil O’Grady has worked in logistics, distribution and defence for more than 25 years and been part of Deloitte’s operations, supply chain and defence teams for the past five years. His wide-ranging experience of logistics operations includes running large transport fleets and warehouses. An expert on through life capability management, Phil’s recent projects have focused on modelling supply chains, support chain diagnostics, cost reduction and operating models. Phil has recently focussed on leading work in Army headquarters that examines how industry can best take on an enlarged role in the provision of military capability.
Delyth Jones, joined Deloitte as a graduate in 2002. As part of Deloitte’s audit practice, her experience lies primarily in working with private equity backed, foreign-owned and listed businesses. She specialises in advising businesses in the technology, media and life sciences sectors and also has experience in a wide range of non-audit services including advice on corporate governance, working capital reviews, and capital markets transactions. As a director, Delyth will continue to lead key audit relationships across the South West and Wales, focusing on the large corporate sector.
