Bristol law firm Barcan+Kirby has continued to strengthen its commercial division with the appointment of senior associate Premila Patel.
Premila, pictured, joins the firm’s corporate and commercial team to support its growth and help develop the firm’s network of key clients and contacts within Bristol.
She previously worked as legal counsel for Bristol-based outsourcing group Mitie, where she advised on service agreements and tender submissions for security, cleaning and landscaping services
In her new role at Barcan+Kirby she will work from the firm’s Gloucester Road office alongside partners Georgina Bryant and Robert Davenport.
Premila said: “I am excited to join Barcan+Kirby and support the strengthening of the firm’s reputation for providing excellent corporate and commercial services.
“The firm will support me to build on my in-house experience of commercial contracts and my understanding of what commercial clients are looking for.”

Barcan+Kirby is shortlisted in the Law Firm of the Year (Up to 20 Partners) category of next month’s Bristol Law Society Awards having won it in 2019. In the same year the firm, which has six offices in and around Bristol, also won the Business Award for Gender at the Bristol Diversity Awards.
