The Bristol office of transatlantic law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has appointed Emma Harling-Phillips as partner in its planning & infrastructure team.
Emma, pictured, a qualified barrister, joins from the London office of global firm law Pinsent Masons, where she has been a partner for just over five-and-a-half years. 
Prior to that she spent three years at DLA Piper and three years as a tenant of Landmark Chambers.
The winner of the 2020 Women in Law award for planning, Emma has significant experience in major infrastructure projects including roadways and energy matters.
These most notably include the A303 at Stonehenge, A66 Trans-Pennine route and National Highways’ smart motorway scheme on the M4 between junctions 3 and 12.
She has also worked on the Riverside Energy Park for Cory Environment, Heathrow Airport’s third runway and ScotWind for Scottish Power.
She specialises in largescale mixed-use schemes, compulsory purchase, strategic planning and plan/policy development, environmental impact assessment and habitats regulation.
Emma said: “WBD has an impressive client portfolio and I look forward to bringing my experience and strong track record to help grow its planning and infrastructure offering further across the UK.”
