Staff at regional accountancy firm Milsted Langdon have stepped up their efforts to improve the environment in the South West and support its communities by sweeping clean a Somerset beach.

Just under 20 staff took part in a day of action at Stolford Beach, near Bridgwater, as part of the Million Mile Clean campaign with Milsted Langdon chairman Tim Close among those taking part.

Armed with litter pickers and gloves, the volunteers collected eight large bags of plastic and other rubbish from the beach, pictured below.

Tim said: “I was surprised how much rubbish we collected during our beach clean. It was great to do our bit to improve the local environment and we hope that our efforts will help to keep this beach that little bit cleaner.

“It is important that we as a firm take care of the communities and areas of nature that we work in and around.”

Every year the Million Mile Clean mobilises up to 100,000 people to go out and do their bit to improve beaches, streets, rivers, parks and mountains.

Milsted Langdon, which has offices in Bristol, Bath, London, Taunton and Yeovil, employs 22 partners and around 230 staff.

The firm offers a wide range of services from routine compliance matters to specialist tax advice and planning, corporate finance, business intelligence, insolvency, forensic accounting and mediation.
