Bristol-headquartered commercial property consultancy Hartnell Taylor Cook is to continue to grow its public sector work following its appointment to a highly acclaimed government framework.
The firm, which celebrates its centenary this year, is one of one of 18 on Homes England’s Property and Financial Professional Services Framework, Lot 1, representing many of UK’s leading companies in the sector.
The framework is used by Homes England, the public body that funds new affordable housing across the country, to commission property-related services for all public sector bodies.
Hartnell Taylor Cook will now provide a range of services to Homes England, including development consultancy, agency (site disposal and acquisition), estate management, valuation, viability appraisal, financial services and project management.
It follows Hartnell Taylor Cook’s appointment to the Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Estates Professional Services Framework last year and comes shortly after it posted its best ever financial results, with a 21% increase in turnover for the 2021/2022 financial year.
Part of the increase came from a “substantial” growth in the firm’s public sector work.
Hartnell Taylor Cook asset management partner Jonathan Marwood said: “It’s fantastic to be afforded the opportunity to showcase our multi-discipline offering to a number of different public sector bodies and support some truly important projects.
“It’s been great to achieve such success on our 100th year anniversary and we look forward to continuing to build upon the public sector work that we are already involved in.”
Hartnell Taylor Cook, which offers a range of property services including agency, valuation, landlord and tenant, rating, development, investment, management and building consultancy, has become one of the mainstays of Bristol’s commercial property market since it was founded in 1922.
It manages more than 3m sq ft of offices across the ‘big six’ regional cities and 1m sq ft in central London, where it also has an office, mainly for family offices and property companies.
It also provides services to a range of national clients including Marks and Spencer, Tesco and ATS Euromaster, while in its South West heartland, it works with private sector clients such as Legal & General and Travelodge as well as private investor clients and has a growing reputation as public sector bodies.
