Get Mentoring, the initiative to recruit and train thousands of business mentors in the UK from the small, medium and micro business community, is holding its next event in Bristol this Thursday.
The training workshop is designed to be a journey of self-discovery where attendees will be encouraged to:
* Recognise their role as an enterprise mentor
* Reflect on their current skills and knowledge and how they can be applied to the enterprise mentoring role
* Identify areas of strength and areas they may wish to develop further
* Reflect on their experience as an entrepreneur, the day-to-day challenges they faced and how this experience could be useful to their mentee(s)
The workshop will be full of information and practical activities, including a workbook that attendees can take away for future reference.
The event is between 9am and 1pm at the Hilton Bristol, Woodlands Lane, Bradley Stoke. To register go to http://getmentoring.org/registration-form
Once trained mentors will be deployed across a range of mentoring organisations accessible via mentorsme.co.uk, the national web portal that provides a single point of access to mentoring services.
Mentorsme.co.uk was launched in the summer by the British Bankers Association (BBA) and provides access to anyone looking for mentoring support as they start or grow their own business.
Get Mentoring is led by the Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative (SFEDI).
