Lawyers from Foot Anstey have advised tech-enabled services group Marston Holdings on its acquisition of one of the UK’s leading utilities field services agencies.
The deal, which adds Grosvenor Services Group (GSG) to Marston Holdings’ portfolio of businesses, is the fourth acquisition handled by Foot Anstey, which has an office in Bristol, for the fast-growing Birmingham-based group.
Sheffield-based GSG supplies specialist services to utilities and has delivered debt collection services to the energy and water sectors for over 20 years.
Its acquisition will strengthen Marston Holdings’ Engage service, a technology-driven field services provider that conducts more than 50,000 visits to people, businesses and their properties every month across the UK and Ireland.
GSG will bring a broader range of field-based expertise to Engage, providing clients with a full toolkit of responses to meet the challenges they face.
The Foot Anstey team was led by managing associate Adam McKenna, pictured, and solicitor Beth Donnelly, supported by partner Ashley Avery and legal director James Barnett.
Engage managing director Mike Wolfenden said: “The acquisition of Grosvenor Services Group brings significant experience, capability and valued resource strengthening our service delivery and proposition.”
Adam McKenna added: “We’re delighted to have supported Marston on another acquisition to strengthen their offering in field services.
“We worked in collaboration with the team at Marston Holdings and we look forward to working with them again in the near future.”
Marston Holdings began enforcing court orders almost 40 years ago. Since then, it has grown organically and through acquisition to provide a multitude of end-to-end services that support the implementation of public policy.
It recovers more than £850m each year on behalf of the taxpayer, as well as serving private and commercial clients.
