A six triumph in as many years in a prestigious healthcare industry awards scheme is on the cards for national law firm Bevan Brittan, with its Bristol office playing a key role in what has been a hugely challenging time for the sector.
The firm, which employs nearly 300 people in Bristol and also has offices in London, Leeds and Birmingham, has been named as a finalist in three categories of the HealthInvestor Awards 2022.
Bevan Brittan is a regular winner of the coveted awards, which aim to promote excellence and recognise outstanding performance in the healthcare sector.
The firm has been successful for five consecutive years in the awards, last year landing the Legal Advisors of the Year – Transactional title.
This year it is a contender for Legal Advisors of the Year – Private, Public and Transactional, giving it a good chance of extending its winning run to six years when the awards are presented at a ceremony in London on 8 June.
Bevan Brittan works with 200 independent health and social care operators, more than 60% of all NHS trusts and major health and social care suppliers, funders and investors on a wide variety of corporate, commercial and real estate transactions.
The firm’s multi-disciplinary health and social care team has more than 60 partners and 200 lawyers, specialising in corporate and commercial, property, litigation, regulatory, patient safety and employment legal advice.
Bristol-based partner & head of independent health and social care Vincent Buscemi, pictured, said: “I’ve supported clients in the health and social care sector for the majority of my career and I can’t remember such a challenging period.
“Our NHS, health and social care clients have been facing unprecedented pressures throughout the pandemic, and our teams have stepped up to help them navigate very tricky legal issues.
“This recognition is down to the hard work and dedicated of everyone in our health and social care teams, and the clients who put their trust in us every day.”
