National Friendly, the Bristol-based health and protection insurer, has received a Gold rating in a major assessment of its newly launched full income protection policy.
The accolade comes from Protection Review, which offers impartial, expert assessments of the latest products on offer in the UK health insurance and protection market.
National Friendly head of sales & marketing Oliver Jones said he was delighted to see the policy given a Gold rating.
“Protection Review offers informed analysis on products sold in the market and we know that intermediaries pay close attention to the recommendations.
“As a company, we have always focused on delivering high-quality protection products to customers.
“We are fully aware of the value intermediaries can add, particularly to complex product sales, so this Gold rating will give our broker partners added confidence when advising on our policies.”
National Friendly, which was established in 1868 and today specialises in private medical insurance, guaranteed life assurance, assisted living insurance, savings and investments, recently launched an ‘accident only’ simplified income protection offering and announced a partnership with HealthHero across a range of products.
The HealthHero link-up will give its income protection policyholders access to a range of benefits, such as the ability to access private GP services.
Crucially, the new policy will help policyholders get back to work quickly through its rehabilitation benefit, offering access to private therapies and consultations.
