The Bristol office of independent commercial building consultancy Hollis has welcomed two new arrivals – Michael Warren as an associate and Catherine Peters as a building surveyor.
Michael has become a member of Hollis’s dispute resolution team, providing expert dilapidations advice to commercial landlords and tenants, while Catherine rejoins the firm after less than a year working for building consultancy Vantage in Bristol.
Michael, pictured, a Chartered Building Surveyor with a Masters’ degree from Reading University, previously spent three years in property agency JLL’s Bristol office as a senior surveyor and prior to that worked for property and construction consultancy Ingleton Wood in Essex.
He has more than two decades’ experience in dilapidations, technical due diligence, party wall and neighbourly matters and contract administration.
Catherine, pictured, originally joined Hollis in 2015 soon after graduating from the University of Southampton with a Bachelor of Arts and two years gained a Diploma in Building Surveying from UWE Bristol.
During her five years with the firm, she worked on numerous commercial building surveying services including project management, contract administration, dilapidations, schedules of condition and reinstatement cost assessments.
She has now resumed the responsibilities she previously held.
Hollis director and head of its Bristol office, James Key, said: “Despite uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant, demand for commercial property in Bristol remains strong as the city looks to build back better.
“Hollis is committed to significant expansion over the next year as we look to support our strong and growing client base across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe, and Bristol represents a large piece of that pie.
“We are thrilled to welcome Michael to Hollis and it is brilliant to have Catherine rejoin the team in what I believe to be a true testament to the firm’s amazing culture and excellent career growth opportunities.
“Their combined industry knowledge and experience will prove an asset to our team in Bristol. I look forward to seeing their career flourish at Hollis.”
Hollis’s Bristol office is one of 22 offices across the UK and Europe. The firm specialises in service areas such as dilapidations, building surveys, environmental services, project management and mechanical and electrical engineering.
