A Bristol-based recruitment firm that has achieved a 700%-plus growth rate since its launch three years ago has landed a prestigious national award.
Foxtek Recruitment, which specialises in the Dutch IT market, was founded by Tom Baker and Tom Page, who previously worked together at Bristol firm g2 Recruitment Solutions.
They started the business with a mission to challenge the recruitment company stereotype by providing customers with an unrivalled experience not previously available in the sector. The aim was to do to recruitment what the likes of Monzo has done to banking.
The firm’s turnover growth, which is now on target to reach £8m this year, landed it the Recruitment Company of the Year title at the APSCo Awards for Excellence 2021.
The award recognises the company that has most consistently demonstrated the professional values and exceptional performance associated with APSCo membership throughout the past 12 months.
APSCo described Foxtek as an emerging newcomer in a fantastic position for strong growth and a fantastic representative for the South West start-up space.
Co-founders Tom Baker and Tom Page said: “It’s incredibly reassuring that the recruitment community backs our vision for the business and our belief in what the recruitment industry can, and should, become.
“When creating Foxtek, we wanted to build a culture where personal learning and development was fundamental to the fabric of the business.
“Taking people with little to no experience and enabling them to be great at what they do is our core focus.”
Dedicating the award to their staff, pictured, the pair added: “It’s hard not to be sentimental but the sense of pride in our staff gives us an amazing feeling of not just having built something successful but what that means to us and those we work with.
“You have to lay a foundation for people to want and come and work with you but it’s their efforts and belief in the Foxtek vision that truly drives the business forward.
“We have amazing people in our business and it’s this that will take us to next level.”
The firm has an office in Amsterdam as well as its UK base in Bristol.
