Rob Law, director of Magmatic and designer of Trunki, the children's ride-on suitcase, is hosting an exclusive event at Bristol’s Harvey Nichols to raise money for The Prince’s Trust.

The Bristol-based entrepreneur, who won backing for his business on BBC1’s Dragon’s Den, will tell guests about his experiences in growing Magmatic into a global, award-winning children’s travel product company.

All money raised at the July 7 event – which includes a three-course meal – will go to The Prince’s Trust as part of accountancy and financial services group Smith & Williamson’s Enterprise Challenge fundraising project which aims to raise £10,000 by September.

Smith & Williamson took on the project as part of The Prince’s Trust’s national competition called the ‘The corporate challenge’, which requires teams of employees throughout the UK to turn an initial investment of £1,500 into a profit of at least £10,000.

Mike Lea, managing director at Smith & Williamson said: “We are delighted to offer the Bristol business community such an insightful event with one of the UK’s leading entrepreneurs.  which helps more than 40,000 disadvantaged young people each year back into education, training or employment each year.

"The event will also provide guests with a great networking opportunity as well as the opportunity to take part in a fantastic raffle with luxury prizes.”
