Global PR network roles for managing director of Bristol communications agency

Bristol communications consultancy JBP’s managing director Chris Lawrance has been appointed to two committees run by global PR network Worldcom.

JBP, one of the UK’s leading PR, stakeholder engagement and public affairs consultancies, has been a Worldcom partner for 11 years. 

Membership allows independent PR businesses to support clients’ global aspirations. Having been launched by three Canadian agencies in in 1951, it now boasts 84 members with 132 offices in 49 countries.

Chris, pictured, will join principals from other leading European PR companies on Worldcom’s EMEA Committee, which is responsible for promoting it to prospective customers and supporting partners in the network.

He was also recently appointed to Worldcom’s global marketing committee.

Chris, who has worked at JBP for 28 years, said: “One of my passions is talent development and seeing people come through the ranks.

“We’ve got so much experience and best practice to share across our EMEA network for our members’ staff to benefit from and I look forward to maximising this opportunity.”

Worldcom’s members employ 2,000 communications professionals between them and generate  annual revenues of around $300m.

JBP, which was launched in 1984 by Jennifer Bryant-Pearson, also has offices in Cardiff, London, Manchester and Warwick.

Its clients include national and international organisations including Enterprise, First Bus, National Grid, Palletways, SodaStream and the UK Vaping Industry Association.
