Newkey, a Devon firm supporting people with learning disabilities, is the latest business to take space in Bristol’s newly-refurbished Tower House office building.
Agents Jones Lang LaSalle signed the deal with the Totnes company in double quick time – less than a month after the initial viewing.
Newkey is using its 1,160 sq ft office in the 14-storey city centre block – which it has taken on a three-year lease – to expand its services into Bristol.
The firm is the fifth new occupier secured for Tower House within a few months.
Other recent arrivals at the building in Fairfax Street, managed by Bristol property firm Urbina, are stockbrokers HB Markets, Immediate Media – the consumer magazine group which combines BBC Magazine and Origin Publishing – and recruitment specialists Central Appointments and eRecruit.
Matt Wintle from Newkey said: “We identified a need for a forward-thinking support provider within the Bristol area to enable people with learning disabilities to maximise their independence within the community. It was a natural extension of our service to open an office in the city.
“Tower House immediately stood out because of its location and after looking at the development more closely it provided good value space that we could easily adapt to create our own stamp on an office to suit our culture and purpose.”
Steve Lane, surveyor in the Bristol office agency team at Jones Lang LaSalle, added: “The speed at which space is being taken up in Tower House since its refurbishment clearly demonstrates strong demand for good value office space in the city centre.”
Jones Lang LaSalle acted as joint agents with Colliers International.
