New beer brings local taste to global travellers at Bristol Airport

Bristol Airport passengers can now pause for a pint of a new beer brewed just two miles from the end of the runway and made entirely from West Country ingredients.

Butcombe Brewery, based at Wrington, have teamed up with Cotswold farmer and TV presenter Adam Henson to produce draught Rare Breed – and earlier today the beer went on sale alongside other Butcombe ales at the airport with Mr Henson on hand to pull a pint or two.

While the airport attracts passengers from across the world, it is working with its catering supplier SSP to source as much of its food and drink from local producers.

The airport is already the largest seller of Butcombe Bitter and Butcombe Gold in the South West.
