The Bristol office of national law firm Clarke Willmott has expanded its private capital team with the appointment of two solicitors.
Jacqui Lazare joins as a senior associate while Georgia Collier has been appointed as a solicitor.
Jacqui, pictured right, specialises in estate planning, will drafting and all aspects of the creation and administration of trusts and associated tax issues. She also advises on the duties and responsibilities of trustees and charitable trusts and charity issues.
Jacqui has joined Clarke Willmott after seven years with regional firm Royds Withy King in Bath. She previously worked for the Charities Aid Foundation and law firms Thomas Eggar and Gepp & Sons.
She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Charity Law Association and is regularly invited to speak at conferences and seminars on private client issues and charity governance.
Georgia, pictured below, advises high net-worth clients and their families across Southern England and Wales. She also has a growing exposure to cross-border elements of estate planning and much of her client base has an international footprint.
She has joined Clarke Willmott from the Bristol office of 1825, the private client legal services arm of Standard Life. She also previously worked at law firm Wards in Bristol, where she qualified as a solicitor two years ago.
At Clarke Willmott she will deal primarily with estate planning, wills and trusts. She is currently studying to become a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Clarke Willmott partner and managing director of the private client team Anthony Fairweather said: “We are delighted to have both Jacqui and Georgia join the team at a time when clients are now, more than ever, focussed on planning for their futures.
“It will be great to have their expertise on board in helping our clients and their families to organise their affairs and finances and provide financial security and enhanced quality of life in the future.
“We are a busy team which has seen an increase in instructions recently, so we look forward to welcoming the new team members.”
As well as its office in Bristol, Clarke Willmott also has bases in Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton.
