Global real estate firm Avison Young has appointed nine new recruits to its Bristol office as part of a drive for business growth following its merger with GVA earlier this year.
The new joiners are spread across the firm’s multi-discipline teams.
Nicole Kruger is now a member of Avison Young’s health team, having arrived from NHS Wales. The move marks a return the firm for Nicole as she first worked as a graduate surveyor in its Cardiff office 10 years ago.
Surveyor James Short has joined the industrial team, having previously worked with Colliers International in Bristol for one-and-a-half years. While at Colliers, where he worked in the industrial and logistics department, he gained his APC (assessment of professional competence) qualifications.
Graduate surveyor William Shortall is a new arrival in Avison Young’s land and development team, while Sophie Endacott joins as a senior surveyor specialising in lease consultancy from South West property specialist firm Vickery Holman, where she spent just over two years.
Henry Kirkwood, who is undertaking a post-graduate course in building surveying at UWE, has joined as graduate building surveyor from Bristol firm Aztech Building Services.
Sharmaine Katerere and Elliot Kelly have both joined as graduate planners in the planning, development and regeneration team.
Elliot was previously with North Somerset Council while Sharmaine recently completing a masters in Property Development and Planning.
The valuation consultancy team has been strengthened by the arrival of Rebecca Rigg, a chartered surveyor and registered valuer, from Gloucestershire-based ASH chartered surveyors.
Finally, Helen Whitesmith has joined as CRM success manager, having spent the past seven years as a senior consultant and project manager with XCD HR in Bristol.

Canada-based Avison Young employs around 5,000 professionals across 120 offices in 20 countries worldwide following its merger in February with GVA of the UK.
