A refurbished city centre office building is almost full after attracting three new occupiers in the past two months.

Vintry Building, a 30,000 sq ft 1950s art deco building on Wine Street, was transformed three years ago with a new reception area, new cycle stores and showers as well as high-specification offices.

The latest arrivals are architecture and building consultancy AHR, which has relocated from Clifton Heights to take the whole of the fourth floor on a five-year lease, business advisory firm Quantuma, which has taken 2,050 sq ft on the third floor totalling, and London-based building environment and services engineering consultancy, Skelly and Couch, which has 709 sq ft on the same floor.

The transformation was project managed by Ashville Asset Management shortly after it took over the buildings management. Other occupiers attracted to Vintry Building since then are Rethink Recruitment, Geoquip Marine and Ashville itself, which is based on its sixth floor.

The three latest lettings were agreed by the Bristol offices of joint property agents Cushman & Wakefield and JLL and leave two newly refurbished suites remaining, including 2,134 sq ft on the third floor and 3,750 sq ft on the ground floor.

Cushman & Wakefield national office agency team senior surveyor Seonaid Butler said: “Vintry Building has been a popular option for a range of occupiers due to its location and the great amenity offering on its doorstep.

“Ashville made the decision to split a floor to accommodate smaller requirements which has created a diverse mix of tenants.”

AHR director Gary Overton said the move to Vintry Building after 12 years at Clifton Heights had allowed the firm to maximise collaborative working, with all staff working across eight services and nine sectors based in an open-plan office across a single floor in an excellent location in the heart of Bristol city centre.

“It offers ease of commute and a dynamic working environment for our staff among central Bristol’s wide range of amenities. It’s an exciting move for the whole team and highlights our commitment to providing a superb workspace environment for our people.”

AHR has a network of eight regional offices across the UK, with its Bristol base designing and delivering significant projects, including recent co-working office Origin Workspace in Berkeley Square.

Quantuma said its move from Bath Street to Vintry Building would help it usher in a new growth phase.

Partner Graham Randall: “During our search for larger office space to accommodate our growing team, we reviewed a number of sites. The Vintry Building really stood out for us – the central location, quality of refurbishment and dynamic working environment provides us with the ideal platform to continue achieving our ambitious growth plans for Bristol and the South West.”

It is Quantuma’s third office in Bristol since launching in the city in 2015. The new office can accommodate up to 20 people – more than double its current Bristol headcount.

The office, which covers the South West and South Wales, will use the move to grow its portfolio of services to include restructuring, forensic accounting and corporate finance.
