Unique paintings created in front of guests at planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore’s wine and works of art event raised more than £1,500 for two Bristol charities.
Guests at the event – held, appropriately, at Paintworks – watched artists Andy Council, Elaine Carr and John Curtis from Bristol’s Upfest urban art festival create their work from scratch, pictured below.
The futuristic impressions of Bristol – complete with skyscrapers overlooking the Avon Gorge – were then auctioned them off by Barton Willmore Bristol partner Simon Prescott.
Benefiting from the guests’ generosity were Bristol-based charity Nacoa (the National Association for Children of Alcoholics) and the Trussell Trusts’ East Bristol Food Bank.
The artists were introduced by Upfest founder and director Stephen Hayles, who has overseen the growth of the festival over the past 10 years into Europe’s largest live free Urban Arts gathering.
