The Bristol office of accountancy, investment management and tax group Smith & Williamson has promoted two partners to head two of its major service lines.
Nigel Hardy has been appointed head of assurance and business services while Zoe Thomas becomes head of business tax services.
Nigel, who joined Smith & Williamson last year from RSM’s Bristol office, is an experienced audit and advisory professional. He works with owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors including manufacturing, distribution, financial services, professional practices and charities.
During his 22 years at RSM Nigel held a number of management positions and was a client relationship partner for many fast-growing and established businesses in the South and South West.
Zoe joined Smith & Williamson in 2017 and was previously a partner at EY for nine years. She specialises in advising property and construction businesses on tax and business affairs, with a particular focus on complex transactions within the real estate sector.
Smith & Williamson Bristol office managing partner Carl Deane said: “Nigel and Zoe are hugely experienced and well-connected professional advisers who will play a major role in taking our practice to the next level.
“Smith & Williamson is the trusted adviser for aspirational businesses in Bristol and the West of England. These two appointments will help to ensure that we continue to deliver on that promise.”
