Sporting event you attended? Coombe Dingle – to play our production manager at tennis. It almost went to the death.
Holiday you went on? San Sebastian to eat, surf and limp along some of the Camino del Norte
Restaurant you ate in? La Vina – one of the many AMAZING pintxos places in San Sebastian. This one specialises in cheesecake, what a great way to round off a pintxos crawl!
Thing that annoyed you? Seeing two hard-boiled eggs for sale in Spar. They were in a black plastic tray which was shrink wrapped in plastic with a card sleeve over the top. What a ridiculously over-packaged world we live in!
Thing that made you laugh out loud? Potty training an 18 month old comes with lots of very funny moments….
Piece of good advice you were given? Use the past to predict the future!
Tristan Hogg is co-founder and managing director of Pieminister. Starting work as an apprentice chef at 15, Tristan has 23 years’ experience in the food, catering and hospitality industry. In this time he has run a gastro pub kitchen, cooked for touring rock stars in more than 30 countries; headed up catering and hospitality logistics at music festivals; honed his fine dining skills in Australia – where he dreamt up the Pieminister name, whilst eating a pie on Bondi Beach (and the rest is history).
